Global warming

Global warming has become one of the most complicated issues facing people in the whole world. Almost 100% of the observed temperature increase over the last 50 years. Main reason for this hazard is green house effect.

Green house effect-

Sunlight that reaches earth’s surface is absorbed and warms the earth. Most of the rest is radiated back as long waves some of these are absorbed by green house gasses like water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone. This absorption is warms, the atmosphere more than normal limit. This process is called as green house effect.          

Major effects of global warming

v  Increase of temperature on earth by 3⁰ to 5⁰ c by the year 2100.

v  Rise of sea levels by at least 25 meters by the year 2100.

v  Increase the intensity of extreme weather events such as floods, drought, heat wares and tornados.

How to reduce global warming

v Reduce carbon and others
      green house gas emission.
v Recycling.
v Using eco – friend
      technology.
v Low power consumption.
